Since Serbs are generally open, friendly and direct, personal questions that show interest in a stranger’s life – including questions about politics or likes and dislikes – are often the basis of conversations. So don’t be offended if you’re openly asked about an unusual topic.
When you say cheers (“živeli”), be sure to touch glasses and to look other people directly in the eyes while doing so.
